A career in biotechnology can mean a great income, job security, challenging and interesting work, and the satisfaction of knowing you are making a positive difference in the world.
If you are a student at Berkeley High School or Oakland Technical High School and are interested in exploring a career in biotechnology, the Biotech Partners program, known as the Biotech Academy at your school, may be right for you. By enrolling in the program, you will receive a comprehensive bioscience-based education and job-training skills. The program is challenging but the rewards are huge. By completing the program you will earn a Certificate of Achievement in Bioscience.**

CAREER AWARENESS CONFERENCE AT BAYER HEALTHCARE
As a Biotech Partners student, you will receive support services from staff and mentors who will advocate on your behalf and coach you on overcoming barriers. Biotech classrooms, training sites and the Biotech Partners office are friendly, comfortable environments where you will feel encouraged to learn and grow.
In our program, you will develop lasting relationships with fellow students and with your teachers, trainers, mentors, the staff, and Board of Directors. It's a very supportive environment and we will do whatever it takes to help you in your efforts to succeed!
As a Biotech Partners graduate, you can look forward to a stable, well-paying job right out of school with room for advancement. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified for skilled entry-level positions in the biotech field, with entry-level salaries between $35,000-$45,000/year. Usually within 30 days of graduation, Biotech Partners students are employed in industry.
**NOTE: Students must attend Berkeley High School or Oakland Tech High School in order to participate in the high school program or to be elligible for internships, and students must graduate from the high school program to enroll in the Bioscience Career Institute, Biotech Partners' community college component.
